30 Ways to Support Adoptees’ Racial/ Ethnic Identity Development

I was curious to hear what families have been doing to support their adoptee’s ERI development. So, in an online survey I asked transracially adoptive parents to share what has has been working for their adoptee as they engage in that process together. I’ve taken time to organize and paraphrase their responses here:

ps: Please don’t hear what I’m not saying. This was not a poll meant to center/amplify adoptive parents. My hope was to connect folks in the community with practical ideas/resources related to identity development as it pertains to our lived experiences as transracial and/or international adoptees.
